Inspiration Drink Teaching & Learning Lab

The Teaching & Learning Lab organizes every second thursday of the month an inspiration drink. Alternately a story of a teacher, a student or an interesting education tool is offered. But above all, there is room for exchanging thoughts with colleagues about education while enjoying a bite and a drink.

This time physicist and teacher educator Ralph Meulenbroeks tells about intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is the internal motive that causes people to merge into an activity that is also the reward in itself. It is a powerful and robust predictor for results in every field, whether it is sport, or work or education. Ralph will share recent findings from the literature and insights from research that he currently undertakes and supervises.
