Climate change, war and the covid pandemic – all three big problems we’re trying to solve. However, these problems aren’t solveable by just one researcher, or even one discipline. Most questions from society are actually all inter- or multidisciplinary. So how do we teach our students to work on these problems, whilst taking in the whole scope? On Thursday the 23rd of June, we will meet again physically in the Teaching & Learning Lab to discuss the topic of interdisciplinarity. Associate professor of biology Fred Wiegant will talk about learning objectives in interdisciplinary education, the interdisciplinary process and the difference in assessment.
