Agenda
Inspirationcafe Inquiry Based Learning
Do you want to stimulate students to think for themselves, taking on a analytical and critical attitude towards your course content and ask more in depth questions about the concepts discussed? Ever noticed that these promotional texts tend to offer questions to think about? Maybe it surprises you, but this is all part of Inquiry-based learning (IBL)!
Join us to get a crash course offered by Liesbeth Bijlsma on IBL: what is the theory behind IBL, what benefits does it hold, what can IBL look like in your classroom, and what are important things to consider when designing an IBL activity? In addition, Liesbeth will introduce you to the plans for her senior fellow project ‘Scaling up inquiry-based learning’ (also see this interview), which opens up discussion about applying IBL in your classroom and provides room for exploring putative collaborations. Maybe you’ll walk away with your next steps towards a teaching method closely aligned with the research process, that encourages students to question things, and investigate current problems!
We look forward to welcoming you at the TLL Inspiration café Inquiry Based Learning on the 19th of September!
Would you like to be invited for future cafés via outlook? Then subscibe to our mailinglist.
